"It feels like things are coming apart, but we in our own community, in our own context, we can draw closer to each other," said Rev. Dr. DeWayne Davis, lead minister at Plymouth.

Reverend Dr. DeWayne Davis, Minnesota Senate chaplain, bridges politics, social justice, and liberation theology to fight for the oppressed. 

"I've heard this many times before ..." the Rev. DeWayne Davis of Plymouth Congregational Church said of promises to hold officers accountable following blatant acts of misconduct. "The accountability that came with someone like Derek Chauvin only came because someone had the presence of mind to record it."

Davis sees the Mass as an opportunity to take a broader view of what church can be — and partner with those who are seeking higher meaning in their lives.

The group is being co-chaired by the Rev. DeWayne Davis, who is the lead minister for the Plymouth Congregational Church, and Levy Armstrong, an attorney and civil rights activist who ran against Frey in 2017.
